The Orange Cat's Temple City, California, Links
You know a town is tight-knit when a large percentage of the people who currently reside and raise their families there have lived there all their lives. Temple City is such a place: Unsophisticated, small, the kind of city where you can't drive the streets or stop at the grocery store without meeting someone you know. Served by a local sheriff's sub-station, Temple City feels safe - kids still ride their bikes to and from school and play on the same sports teams together for years. There's not much to recommend in terms of restaurants or shopping, but Temple City Unified School District offers some of the best public school education you can find in the San Gabriel Valley and housing prices are "affordable" compared to some of the neighboring communities with excellent school districts. - Karen
